企业家进课堂 ——English Hacks and Work-arounds

讲座题目:English Hacks and Work-arounds

讲座时间:2019年9月21日(星期六)18:30-21:30

讲座地点:主楼四层报告厅

讲座嘉宾:Terence Egan

讲座内容:

Working in a second language is never easy. It's more than just learning words and grammar structures. The subtleties of culture, situational tone and business communication standards often break the rules and create barriers for second language users in the workplace.

With over 20 years experience living and teaching in China, Terence has developed methods to reduce the headaches for Chinese employees using English. He calls these methods 'Hacks and Work-arounds'. Just as IT professionals need to find indirect fixes for some problems and programming obstacles, the same is possible with Business English.

Terence will reveal useful approaches to reducing the stress, difficulties and time involved in producing your emails, reports, presentations and other communications. His list of Hacks covers all six language skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, and two others that are revealed in the seminar.

Terence has assisted managers and executives in many well-known global organizations (both Chinese and foreign). He keeps his presentation light and entertaining and welcomes your participation and questions.
